“You are the future. What will you and your generation do to grow the Catholic Church in your community?”
“The school program is a great way to reach young people, but I still want to give everyone an opportunity to learn about Catholicism. I think a great way to do that would be to have big Church events out in the community. We could do a big picnic at the Glenn for anyone in town and have Father give a sermon about the great aspects of being Catholic. This would hopefully spark interest in some people. I think any event that has fun activities and things for people to do, while also incorporating God and learning about our faith, would be very beneficial. Even if just one person decides they want to join the Church, I think that would be a success. I think my generation as a whole is very distant with God and the Catholic Church. I believe that if we can inform people about how important it is to have a relationship with God and go to Church we could make a huge difference. I plan on staying involved in my Church at home, while also joining as many clubs and activities as I can while I'm at school. I hope that one day every person knows the benefits of being Catholic and how it can do so much good for them. I know it has done so many amazing things for me!”
This is the last part of the essay written by Hannah Savage. I wholeheartedly thank her for sharing her thoughts and aspirations with us, and for letting me serialize it in the bulletin. As the Church community let us find ways and means how we can support her in those great plans she has shared with us.
